Our electromagnetic flowmeter operates based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. A pair of electrodes is mounted on the measuring tube wall perpendicular to both the flow direction and the magnetic field.
When a conductive liquid flows through the measuring tube, it cuts the magnetic field lines and generates an induced electromotive force (EMF). This induced voltage is detected by the electrodes and is directly proportional to the flow velocity.
The induced voltage is expressed as:
E = K × B × v̅ × D
Where:
· E = Induced electromotive force (EMF)
· K = Instrument constant related to magnetic field distribution and sensor geometry
· B = Magnetic flux density
· V = Average flow velocity of the conductive liquid
· D = Distance between electrodes (internal diameter of the measuring tube)
The sensor converts the induced voltage into a flow signal and transmits it to the transmitter. The transmitter performs signal amplification, filtering, conversion, and digital processing, then displays both instantaneous flow rate and totalized flow on a backlit dot-matrix LCD display.
The transmitter supports multiple output and communication options, including:
· 4–20 mA Analog Output
· Pulse/Frequency Output
· Alarm Output
· RS-485 Communication Interface
This design ensures high measurement accuracy, excellent stability, and reliable performance in demanding industrial applications.
