Explosion-proof RTDs share the same basic structure and operating principle as assembled RTDs. The key difference lies in the terminal box (housing), which adopts a special explosion-proof design. The enclosure is made of high-strength die-cast aluminum alloy with sufficient internal space, wall thickness, and mechanical strength. The rubber sealing components also meet national explosion-proof standards.
In the event that an explosive gas mixture inside the terminal box ignites, the enclosure can withstand the internal pressure, and the generated heat is contained, preventing flame propagation to the external environment.
